At Builders Beams R Us our Wakefield team fabricates made to measure RSJs and builders beams in house. We cut, drill, weld and prepare your steel to the engineer’s design. Every beam is checked and labelled, then scheduled for delivery across Yorkshire ready for a straightforward installation.

Quote and plan

Send drawings or a simple sketch with sizes in millimetres, finish, site postcode and your preferred week. We confirm the plan and book your slot.

Fabricate

We then cut, drill, weld and assemble your beams. All of our Steel is Shot Blasted and ready for instillation

on site.

Delivery

Beams are checked, labelled and packed. Ready for delivery to your chosen destination.

  • What types of steel beam and section can you fabricate?

    We fabricate a wide range of structural steel sections from our Wakefield workshop, including universal beams (UB), universal columns (UC), parallel flange channels (PFC), angles, flat bar, box section and plate. Whether you need a standard RSJ for a domestic wall removal or a heavier section for a commercial or multi-storey project, we can cut, drill, weld and prepare steel to your structural engineer's specification.   • How do I get a quote for a fabricated steel beam?

    The quickest way to get a quote is to send your structural engineer's drawings or a neat sketch with the beam length, section designation and any drilling or plating details tocontact@buildersbeamsrus.co.uk. Include the finish required and your delivery postcode and we will get a price back to you promptly. If you dont have this information simply fill in the form below and a member of the team will get in touch. 

  • Do you fabricate beams to a structural engineer's drawings?

    Yes, all of our fabrication is carried out to the structural engineer's approved drawings. We cut, drill, weld and prepare every beam to the dimensions and details shown on the drawing, including hole centres, end plates, stiffeners and cleats. We check dimensions at each stage of fabrication and label every beam before despatch so installation runs smoothly on site. We do not produce our own structural calculations, so an engineer's drawing is required before we can fabricate.

  • Is there a minimum order for fabricated steel beams?

    No. We supply single beams for domestic wall removals and loft conversions just as readily as we supply batch orders for larger developments. There is no minimum order quantity. Whether you need one RSJ or twenty, we treat every order with the same level of care and give you the same quality of service. Trade builders and homeowners are both welcome.

  • Do you deliver fabricated steel beams across Yorkshire?

    Yes. We deliver fabricated beams to sites across Yorkshire and the wider UK from our Horbury Junction workshop in Wakefield. We cover Leeds, Bradford, Huddersfield, Sheffield, Barnsley, Castleford, Pontefract, York, Keighley, Skipton, Manchester and beyond. Give us your delivery postcode when you place your order and we will include delivery in your quote. Collection from our Wakefield workshop is also available by arrangement.
