Builders Beams R Us is a family-run structural steel fabricator based in Horbury Junction, Wakefield. We supply made-to-measure RSJ beams, universal beams and structural steelwork to builders, contractors, loft conversion specialists and developers across Yorkshire and the wider UK.



We are not a national distribution business. We are a small, skilled team who fabricate everything in-house, take pride in the quality of our work, and deal with our customers directly from the first call to delivery day. That is how we have built our reputation, and it is what every one of our 19 five-star Google reviews reflects.

Our workshop in Wakefield

We operate from Unit 11, Forge Lane, Horbury Junction, Wakefield. Our workshop is equipped with a KALTENBACH KBS 1001 DG, one of the leading automated sawing and drilling lines available to steel fabricators, which allows us to cut and drill structural steel sections to precise tolerances at consistent speed.

Every beam that leaves our workshop is cut to length, drilled to your engineer's specification and shot blasted to Sa 2.5 standard as part of our standard process. Primer, powder coat and galvanising are available for steel that requires additional protection or a decorative finish.

We do not outsource any part of the fabrication, finishing or preparation process. Keeping everything in-house means we control the quality at every stage and can give accurate, reliable lead times without depending on third parties.

What we fabricate

We supply a wide range of structural steel sections including universal beams, universal columns, parallel flange channels, angles, flat bar, box section and plate. All sections are cut, drilled, welded and prepared to your structural engineer's drawings.



Alongside structural beams, we fabricate made-to-measure steel staircases and walkways for residential, commercial and agricultural projects. Whether you need a slim quarter-turn stair for a loft conversion or a galvanised access stair for a barn conversion, we can produce it from your drawings.

Who we work with

Our customers include sole-trader builders, loft conversion companies, building contractors, property developers, structural engineers and homeowners managing their own projects. We supply one-off beams for domestic wall removals just as readily as we supply batch orders for larger developments.



There is no minimum order. Every job is treated with the same level of care, and every customer deals directly with the people fabricating their steel.

Delivering across the UK

Our Wakefield workshop sits just off junction 40 of the M1, which puts us within easy reach of the whole of West and South Yorkshire, as well as Bradford, Leeds, Huddersfield, Sheffield, Barnsley, Castleford, Pontefract, York, Keighley, Skipton and Manchester. We deliver across the UK and can advise on lead times and delivery costs when you place your order.
